Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for POS and print projects.
• Interpret customer briefs, artwork specifications and technical drawings.
• Calculate material requirements, print quantities, wastage, finishing and production costs.
• Liaise with Production, Sales, Procurement and suppliers to ensure accurate costing.
• Source and compare material and outsourced finishing costs where required.
• Estimate costs for cutting, creasing, folding, gluing, laminating, mounting and other finishing processes.
• Understand and cost different substrates, board grades, vinyl, paper and other POS materials.
• Review completed jobs against estimates and identify costing variances.
• Maintain accurate costing records and pricing databases.
• Assist in improving estimating processes and identifying opportunities to improve margins.
• Provide technical and commercial input to the Sales team where required.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in print estimating, preferably within POS, packaging or commercial printing.
• Strong knowledge of POS production and print manufacturing processes.
• Experience costing digital and lithographic print work.
• Good understanding of substrates, machine capabilities, finishing and production efficiencies.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet quotation deadlines.
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and estimating systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

Advantageous

• Experience with structural POS and display work.
• Knowledge of CNC/flatbed cutting and digital finishing.
• Experience with large-format and roll-to-roll printing.
• Experience working with major retail/FMCG clients.
• Relevant qualification in Printing, Production Management, Costing or a related field.
